Tagetes lemmonii, sometimes known as Lemmon’s marigold, is a daisy-like shrubby marigold native to North America (Asteraceae). Copper Canyon Daisy, Mountain Marigold, and Mexican Marigold are some of the other English names for this plant. It is indigenous to the Mexican states of Sonora and Sinaloa, as well as southern Arizona in the United States. Tagetes lemmonii blooms from the autumn through the spring, and can last up to ten months. It may grow to be  8 feet tall and across. When disturbed, the leaf emits a strong odour. The shrub is drought tolerant and popular in gardens, where it can withstand mild frosts without harm.
